Murrieta Valley Alumni Kevin Padlo earned a spot in the Arizona Fall league. The league is considered as professional baseball’s “finishing school” for top prospects. The league runs from October 10 and through November 18.

Padlo is currently the third baseman for the Charlotte Stone Crabs, the Tampa Bay Rays in the Florida State League. He missed half of the season due to a hand injury. He is considered the Rays’ Number 28 prospect and slugged 25 extra-base hits in 64 games for Charlotte in 2017.

“It’s a good feeling,” said the Murrieta native. “The best of the best go out there. The competition will be great. I’m just trying to get some more at bats because I missed quite a few this year,”

Accompanying Padlo will be 2 Stone Crabs teammates. Relievers Spencer Jones and Dalton Moats have also been selected to represent the Tampa Bay Rays in the Arizona Fall League.

Padlo graduated from Murrieta Valley High School in 2014.
