Cal League Baseball: Listen to the Quakes on their New Radio Home…Broadcasts Moving to Newstalk 1290 AM

By Mike Lindskog

Rancho Cucamonga, CA – The 2018 California League Champions will be defending their title on a new radio home in 2019.

The Quakes have agreed to broadcast all regular season and postseason games on Newstalk 1290, a member of the iHeart Radio family. The Quakes have been a little further up the AM dial for the previous five years with another member in the iHeart Radio family, at FOX Sports 1350.

The 5,000-watt station out of Riverside will be the home of the Quakes for the next three seasons, with Mike Lindskog returning in 2019 for his tenth season of play-by-play.

“Working with the iHeart Radio family over the last five years has been a terrific experience for the Quakes, with great feedback from our fans as well,” said Director of Public Relations and “Voice of the Quakes” Mike Lindskog. “While our fans will have to tee up a new local station on the AM dial, the continuity of remaining on the iHeart Radio app and website is huge, as it will continue to deliver Quakes baseball in a familiar way to our fans, regardless of where they are in the world.”

“The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes have become an I.E. favorite,” said RSVP Programming, iHeartMedia Rob Scorpio. “It’s a pleasure working with such a class organization and we look forward to working with them for many more years to come.”

The 2019 California League season begins on Thursday, April 4th, as the Quakes will make their Newstalk 1290 debut on the road in Stockton. The first game at LoanMart Field will be Thursday, April 11th, as your Quakes host the Lancaster JetHawks.
