Cheer: Fighting Kodiaks Take Home First Place in Division 11 at the Jamz Nationals in Las Vegas


The Temecula Valley Pop Warner Cheer Team Won for the Second Straight Year on Sunday, January 27th

The Temecula Valley Pop Warner Cheer Team Won First Place in Division 11 at the Jamz Nationals in Las Vegas on Sunday, January 27th.The Fighting Kodiaks won the event for the second Sstraight year.

The team competed in the Division 11 Show Cheer Level 1. The Cheerleaders ages ranged from 8 to 12 years old. The Temecula Fighting Kodiaks consisted of 10 girls and were coached by Jennifer Valenzuela and assistant coach Maya Pearson. Merissa Pearson acted as the student demonstrator for the team.

We struggled in our first two competitions” said coach Valenzuela. “With a lot of hard work, we defended our title from last year and our girls were able to take home the First Place Trophy.

We competed against 7 other teams but the Fighting Kodiaks never quit” added Valenzuela. “The girls literally put their sweat, blood and tears into this routine and found that all of their hard work and long hours in the gym paid off”!
