CIF SS Tennis: Murrieta Valley Advances to the Semifinals, Temecula Valley Eliminated by Sage Hill

The Nighthawks will Face Valencia at Home Wednesday

Murrieta Valley cruised to a 14-4 quarterfinal victory over Cate HS Monday afternoon and the bus was filled with smiles on the long ride back from Carpinteria.  The Nighthawks will now focus on their semifinal opponent Valencia who defeated Troy 12-6 in their match.

Murrieta swept the singles matches with victories by Jovana Kuljanin 7-5, 6-0, 6-0 , Alana Andrews 6-3, 6-0, 6-0 and Faith Pearson 6-1, 6-0, 6-0. In doubles  Kelsey Lajom and Ashley Nishimoto  won 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 while the teams of  Shruti Amin-Audra Gorria 2-6, 3-6, 6-1and  Brooke Cornelius-Elise Seyarto lost.

Murrieta Valley’s record this year is now 21 wins 2 losses. The Semifinal game will be played at Murrieta Valley at 2pm Wednesday.

12108185_547718048708819_6941933283704511026_nThe Golden Bears season came to an end in Newport Beach as Temecula Valley lost their quarterfinal match 11-7 to Sage Hill. Lindsey Gelinas won  her singles match 6-3, 6-1, 6-1,  Hope Salts won 6-3, 6-2 and lost 4-6.

Congratulations to all the Golden Bears;Mackenzie Adams, Marissa Lamonte, Kayla Gelinas, Nina Sheridan,Lindsey Gelinas, Hope Salts and Kiera Revel for a great 2015 season.
