College Baseball: Cal State San Bernardino Crushed by UC San Diego in Series Opener 19-1


The Coyotes Fall to 13-24 Overall with the Loss

The CSU San Bernadino Coyotes fell in the series opener to No. 2 UCSD on Friday, 19-1.

Aaron Kim homered and drove in 3 Runs for San Diego. Steven Schuknecht also had three RBIs and Alex Eliopulos scored 5 runs for the Tritons.

Christian Vargas drove in the lone CSUSB run in the fifth with a single up the middle. Gabe Chavez, the CCAA batting average leader doubled and Jacob Allen tripled. Carter Kimberly stole a base while Austyn Coleman pitched a perfect ninth.

The Coyotes (13-24, 10-22 CCAA) will host the Tritons again today and will play 2 game on Sunday. Live stats are on CSUSBathletics.com.
