College Softball: Cal State San Bernardino’s Morgan Ratliff Named to the D2CCA All-Region Team

The Senior Selected for First Team Honors for the Division II Collegiate Commissioner’s Association All-Region

was selected to the Division II Collegiate Commissioner’s Association All-Region Team, announced Wednesday evening.

She was tabbed First Team All-Conference and the CCAA Player of the Year in her senior season. Ratliff, who was named All-Conference for the fourth-straight year, third time on the first team, finished third in the league in hitting at .401 and second in hits at 67, 60th in the nation. Ratliff was a terror from everywhere though, scoring 53 runs, second in the league, with a .489 on-base percentage, fifth in the CCAA.

The senior health science major was second in stolen bases with 30, hit seven home runs, sixth in the league, and tallied a .619 slugging percentage, sixth in the CCAA. She was selected the CCAA Player of the Week and it marks the third-straight year the CSUSB softball program has had an All-Region selection.

“This honor means the world to me,”¬†Ratliff¬†said about being the conference MVP. “I have been playing this sport since I was six years old and this feels like all the hard work paying off. It has been awesome to play with this group to end my career.”
