The Undefeated Coyotes Improve to 14-0

The Number 1 ranked CSUSB Coyotes fended off a feisty Cal State LA bunch on Saturday night, improving to 14-0 in a four-set win.

The Yotes took sets one and two 25-22 and 25-14, looking in control throughout. The Golden Eagles caught some lighting in set three, taking it 25-18, but the Yotes regained control in the fourth and final set, 25-21.

The Yotes made up the difference on the night hitting a better percentage, .234 to .223, and out-blocking LA 13-9 with Sascha Dominique racking up 10 of them. Alexis Cardoza led in kills with 14, and Sascha Dominique and Stephanie Doak added eight each.

“Tonight was a really solid conference win for us,” Doak said. “We have a target on our back every day, and LA is a great opponent, the atmosphere was great and we are proud to get this win.”

Cardoza added 12 digs for the Yotes who will head back on the road next week, beginning with CSU San Marcos on Friday at 7 pm. Live links are on
