Corona: Police Seek Help to Identify Abandoned Baby Found Dead on Cajalco Road July 27

The Corona Police Department is seeking assistance from the community in identifying a piece of evidence relating to the Abandoned Infant Investigation which was launched on July 27, 2018, after the Corona officers responded to a call regarding an abandoned infant found deceased in the area of Cajalco Road and Interstate 15.Evidence Image- Shirt

The investigation is currently ongoing, and investigators have decided to release the attached photograph of a distinct t-shirt which was used to wrap around the infant’s body. The t-shirt has a distinctive pattern in which investigators believe someone in the community may recognize as belonging to someone they know.

Any member of the community who recognizes this shirt as belonging to an individual is asked to call Detective Mario Hernandez at 951-279-3659 or email him at Mario.Hernandez@CoronaCA.gov.

Reporting Parties may remain anonymous, and although investigators will need to speak with them, any related police reports will not contain their personal information.

“If you think you may know the owner of this t-shirt, or if you have any information regarding this case, please don’t hesitate to give our detectives a call,” said Corona Police Chief James Patton. “We hope to bring resolution to this unspeakable and avoidable tragedy.”
