Corona: Thief who Took off His Mask during an Attempted Robbery in Norco & Accomplice Arrested


Sheriff’s detectives arrested the suspect who took off his mask during an attempted robbery in Norco. On Monday, September 17, 2018, the Jurupa Valley Station Investigations Bureau was contacted by the Riverside County Probation Department regarding the potential identity and location of the suspect in this case.

Riverside County Probation officers recognized Marvin Sloan King, 40, of Corona, as the man who took off his mask. As the investigation continued, investigators identified a second suspect in this case as Islam Omar Mousa, age 26, a Corona resident. Mousa was located at his Corona residence and taken into custody.


Both King and Mousa were arrested and booked at the Robert Presley Detention center for attempted robbery and violation of probation. The mask and replica firearm utilized in the commission of the crime was also located and recovered as evidence.
