Eastvale: Suspected Corona Meth Dealer Arrested after Traffic Stop


On February 8, 2019 at 4:10 AM, the Eastvale Police Department responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle near the intersection of Hunters Run Ct and Shadyside Way. Officers from the Eastvale Police Department arrived within minutes and located a vehicle matching the description provided in the report.

Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop of the vehicle and contacted the driver, Jose Maciel, HMA, 47 years old of Corona. A record check confirmed Jose Maciel had an active warrant for his arrest for carjacking.

During a search of Maciel’s vehicle, Officers located methamphetamine and related narcotic paraphernalia. In addition to the warrant, Maciel was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with the intent to sell. Jose Maciel was booked into custody at the Robert Presley Detention Center.
