Girls Lacrosse: Great Oak Crushes Hemet 18-5 on a Cold, Wet & Rainy Night

Mari Dayos Scores Five Times to Lead the Wolfpack Past the Bulldogs

Mari Dayos scored five goals as she led Great Oak past Hemet Wednesday night. The Wolfpack would overwhelm the inexperienced Bulldogs and go on to a 18-5 victory on a chilly night in the pouring rain.

Great Oak jumped out to a quick lead by scoring 8 goals in the first 5 minutes of the game. They pretty much had their way with the Hemet Bulldogs.

The Wolfpack continued to score at will throughout the game. The rain didn’t seem to deter the girls. They took it all in stride and seemed to have fun playing in the rain and going on to an easy win. Great Oak coach Allen Licitra rested her starters and gave the second string plenty of playing time.

Mari Dayos’ 5 goals led the Wolfpack. Sophia Bove would score 3 goals against Hemet and Susana Ko, Preston Flacco, Sophia Licitra and Sydney Hall each scored twice.

Kami Schiefer, Sydney Simpson, Sierra Diesel Gaffney, Tatum Flacco and Sophia Schroll would all score a goal for Great Oak.

The Wolfpack will face Hemet again on Monday evening at Great Oak High School.
