On Sunday, September 9th, shortly after 8:30 pm., the Hemet Police began receiving 9-1-1 calls reporting a head-on collision in the 500 block of N. Warren Rd. in the City of Hemet. As the first officers arrived they found that a blue BMW and a silver Chrysler had collided in the northbound lanes and that the Chrysler was partially on fire.
The officers were able to extinguish the fire and responding fire personnel began extricating the driver from the Chrysler. The driver of the Chrysler was transported by helicopter to a nearby trauma center where she later died of her injuries.
Marcos Forestal, a 28 year old Burbank man was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Forestal was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries. A Hemet Police Officer accompanied Forestal to the hospital and took him into custody when he was medically cleared. Forestal was transported to the Riverside County Jail.
A 29-year-old mother of three, died along with her unborn child due to the accident. Krystil Kincaid of San Jacinto, who was eight months pregnant was killed in the collision. Kincaid was flown by helicopter to a nearby trauma center. She and her unborn child were legally dead as of Tuesday. Krystil remained on a breathing device so that her organs could be harvested for donation.
