Highland: Quick Thinking San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputy Rescues Infant from a Hot Car


A quick thinking San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputy broke a window to rescue an infant from a car in Highland on Tuesday, Aug. 8. The frantic mother reported that she had accidentally locked her baby inside her car.

The mother of the child immediately called 911 and firefighters and the Sheriff’s Department soon arrived. Deputy Charles Lopez , who learned that the mother had closed the door of her vehicle and accidentally locked her baby inside a car. He smashed out a window and rescued the baby.
