HS Baseball: Vista Murrieta Beats Chaparral 3-0 to Stay a Game Back of Temecula Valley in the Southwestern League

Senior Jake Moberg Shuts Out the Pumas as he Wins his Second Game of the Season

Vista Murrieta shut out Chaparral 3-0 Friday afternoon to stay a game away form Southwestern league leading Temecula Valley. Senior Jake Moberg was on the mound for the Broncos and threw 7 scoreless innings to collect his second victory or the season.

Senior Jamie Olson, junior Alec Corona and sophomore Zack Rodriguez each drove in a run against the Pumas. Rodriguez also stole two bases for Murrieta. Junior Anthony Tulimero doubled for the Broncos.

Junior Hayden Johns pitched all 7 innings for the Pumas.He gave up 3 runs on 7 hits and struck out 3.

The Broncos play Corona today and the Pumas are at the Anaheim Lions Tournament.
