HS Baseball: Vista Murrieta Wraps Up the Southwestern League Title with a 9-0 Shutout

Brandon Ross Throws a 4-Hit Gem against the Wolfpack

Vista Murrieta has one game left in the regular season before the CIF playoffs begin. The Broncos are 13-1 and have dominated in the Southwestern League this season. The Pumas and Nighthawks are tied with second place with 7-7 records.

Brandon Ross was almost perfect in Wednesdays victory over the Wolfpack. The senior gave up just 4 hits over 7 innings and his defense erased almost every runner that Great Oak put on base, Ross struck out 3 and surrendered a walkin the victory.

Brandon Luna as the offensive spark for the Broncos. He went 3 for 4 and scored three runs for Vista Murrieta. Nick Mosiello had 3 RBIs to lead the Broncos, Joey Hodapp drove in 2 and K2 Klarich,Steven Riddle, Mitchell Moralez and Jake Moberg each knocked in one.



Trent Topping was the losing pitcher for Great Oak. He gave up 8 runs on 9 hits. Jack Chamberlan and Hunter Botkin also pitched or the Wolfpack.

The two teams square off against each other n Friday.
