HS Basketball: Murrieta Mesa Crushes Lakeside 76-30

The Rams Offense was just “Too Hot to Handle” for the Lancers

15492202_728510620635014_3706670387301062962_nMurrieta Mesa wasted not time Tuesday evening as the Rams exploded for 20 points in the first period against Lakeside and never looked back. Murrieta Mesa would score 18 points in the second and another 26 in the third before slowing down. The Lancers had no answer for the Rams onslaught. Mesa improves it’s record to 4-5 with the victory.

15401135_728510503968359_4026499004904425153_nSenior Brandon McIntosh led the Rams offensive effort with 16 points. Anthony Routh added 15 more and junior Trevon Wright nailed four 3-pointers and ended up with 14 points.

Gio Sanders had 3 steals and 5 rebounds for the Rams and scored 8 points. Sophomore Devin Fortune grabbed 11 rebounds while scoring 4 points and junior Elisha Williams put 7 points through the hoop. Freshman Cameron Rentie added 5 points, Anthony Salas 3 more and JT Roulier and Dane Grippo added a basket each.15380522_728510430635033_4909316371795898197_n

Lakeside is now 2-5 and will be home to play Murrieta valley tomorrow. The Rams are also home and will face off against Serrano from Phelan. The Diamondbacks have a 2-5 record this season.

In  other Southwestern League action, Temecula Valley crushed San Marcos 80-64 and Great Oak overwhelmed Paloma Valley 58-28.
