HS Boys Soccer: Chaparral Stunned by 1-0 Loss to Temecula Valley


The  Golden Bears Defense Sparkles against the Number One Pumas 

12642686_1273607702666558_3691312772896599076_nChaparral’s undefeated season came to an end Thursday as the Golden Bears stunned the Pumas with a 1-0 victory. The Pumas have dominated the Southwestern league and came in to the contest with a 5-0 record. The Golden Bears defense was undaunted and shutout the league’s most prolific offense.

The Pumas offense kept the pressure on all game long. The ball was in Temecula Valley territory for most of the contest. Golden Bears goalkeeper Macay Celland did an outstanding job knocking down Pumas shots at goal.

Anthony Yacoub scores the winning goal

The Golden Bears scored the only goal in the game with 28.04 on the clock in the first half. Junior mid-fielder Anthony Yacoub slipped past a Puma defender and put it in corner of the goal for the winner.

Chaparral will be home Tuesday to face Great Oak. The Golden Bears will host the Murrieta Mesa Rams.
