HS Boys Water Polo: Murrieta Valley Beats Vista Murrieta 11-4 as Southwestern League Play Begins


The Nighthawks Dominant as Casey Lynton Scores 4 Goals in the League Opener

14462796_1097463857009994_4201027865692138232_nMurrieta Valley prevailed in their opening round match of Southwestern League play Tuesday. The Nighthawks made it look easy as they cruised to a 11-4 victory over the Vista Murrieta Broncos.

14524458_1097464130343300_3230378828911893038_oI was happy with our performance defensively in only allowing 4 goals for the game” said Murrieta Valley Head Coach Bryan Lynton. “I was pleased that we came out of halftime with some adjustments, and were able to build a sizable lead during that 7 minutes”.

14495469_1097463797010000_2164580360715099434_nGoalie Collin Winters was one reason the Broncos were kept to only 4 goals. Winter had 9 saves and was tough in the net. Casey Lynton led the Nighthawk offense scoring 4 goals and registering 4 assists. Will Barnes and Carson Paiva added 2 goals for MVHS. Nick Rogers and Hunter Raemakers also scored a goal apiece against Vista Murrieta.

Murrieta Valley will travel to Chaparral tomorrow to take on the Pumas. The Broncos will face off with the Rams at Murrieta Mesa.
