HS Football: 31 Talented Local High School Stars Selected for All-CIF SS Football Honors

Rancho Christian’s Jim Kunau Named Division 13 Coach of the Year

The 2016-17 All-CIF Southern Section has been announced and 31 talented local football players have been recognized for their efforts. This year’s Division 13 Champion Rancho Christian had the most players from Local teams chosen for the Honor.

Jim Kunau was named as the Division 13 Coach of the Year. The Offensive Player of the Year was Jaden Schiebel and Nick Alvarez was selected as the Defensive Player of the Year for the Division.

Malosi Napoleon, Carter Treadway, Brent Owens, Hunter Rapolla, Jojo Saatzer, Elijah Campbell, Ryan Esposito and the Eagles female kicker Emma Baker made the Division 13 Team.

Murrieta Valley had 6 players chosen to the Division 2 Team. Olita Palmer, Hank Bachmeier, Line Tanoa Fedler, Marquis Spiker, Maurice Bell and Tanner Hoyt were selected from the Nighthawks.

Calvary Murrieta had 5 players selected. The Division 12 Warriors had Albert Ramirez, Brayden Campos, Clint Lewis, Micah Roth,and Adam Schwab earning all CIF Honors.

Division 1 Vista Murrieta is represented by 3 players on the ALL-CIF Team. They are Khalil Shakir, Javelin Guidry, and Keyon Ware-Hudson.

The Sunbelt League had four player earn All-CIF honors. Division 9 Perris had Romello Edwards and Jacob Salas make the team and Javier Luna from Division 3 Heritage was also selected. Paloma Valley‘s Corey Maddox, Chance Nolan  and   Steven Anthony Bradshaw  were named to the Division 5 team.

Last, but not least, Simeon Burns from Linfield Christian was selected to the Division 7 team. He joins his brother and father as a member of an ALL-CIF Team.
