The Pumas Coast to a 28-7 Victory

What initially seemed to be a good start for Hemet with a few early stops, slowly turned into a long night for the Bulldog defense.
Chaparral’s Gavin Ellison opened the scoring on a 19 yard touchdown run halfway through the first quarter. Chaparral appeared to take control of the game early.
However, Hemet was not going away without a fight as the Bulldogs Loren Trejo intercepted the Pumas last scoring threat of the first quarter.
Chaparral got on the board again with 9 minutes left in the second quarter after a 5 yard run by quarterback Eli Beltran. The Pumas scored again after a Matt Majel 12 yard run halfway through the third quarter.
Eli Beltran capped off the Pumas scoring with a 7 yard scamper in the fourth quarter.
Hemet got on the board late in the fourth quarter in the waning moments of the game when quarterback Jeremiah Graves ran in from the 24 yard line for the final score of the game.
Chaparral’s swarming defense stifled Hemet’s offense allowing only a handful of first downs throughout the night. Chaparral kicker Mikey Terriquez was perfect, nailing 4 of 4 extra point kicks.
