HS Football: CIF Southern Section Week 4 Polls Released

Local Teams Shine in Week 4 September 25, 2017 Polls

The Week 4 CIF Southern Section Polls as of September 25, 2017 were released yesterday.There was little movement for local teams in the Polls. In Division 1 Murrieta Valley and Vista Murrieta were both victorious last Friday but the Pollsters were unimpressed.

In Division 2, Heritage moved up to third from number 4 spot this week. The Patriots lost to 6th ranked Division 1 Orange Lutheran 34-21 last Friday.

Murrieta Mesa stays locked in the third spot in Division 4. The Rams slipped past Valley View in a 59-58 overtime thriller.The Eagles are ranked 5th in Division 10.

In Division five two local teams continue to shine. Paloma Valley moved up a spot to 4th. The Wildcats ran all over Temecula Valley 42-12. The Big news in Division 5 is the resurgence of Chaparral. The Pumas improved from 10th to the number 8 spot this week. The Pumas have won 4 games in a row and beat Victor Valley 29-10 last week.

Elsinore dropped a spot in Division 6 and is ranked 5th. The Tigers last to Division 4 King 31-14 Friday night. Undefeated Lakeside fell to 10th in Division 11. The Lancers thrashed Vista del Lago 42-6 but didn’t impress the pollsters.

Rancho Christian Slipped into the number 3 spot in Division 12 this week. The Eagles were defeated by Division 9 number 1 ranked Aquinas 56-10 last week.
