The Cougars may possibly be the toughest opponent that Murrieta Valley has faced thus far in the young season.

The Cougars are undefeated, with a 3-0 record and ranked 10th in the latest CIF Southern Section Football polls.. Rancho Cucamonga crushed Don Lugo 49-7 last week and has beaten Norco and Chaparral.

Olita Palmer

The Nighthawks’ O Line has finally gelled and is protecting the quarterback as well as opening up huge holes for their 2 senior running backs,  dubbed “Thunder & Lightning”.  Austin Bacher is the “thunder” while Lita Palmer is the “lightning” in the MV backfield. Bacher has gained 243 yards on 40 carries and 6 TDs while Palmer has 186 yards on 24 carries and 5 TDs.

The Murrieta defense had their hands full last week against Grandview.  Linebacker coach Sean Cue insists that his crew will be ready to handle the volatile Cougar offense this Friday night. It’s definitely going to be a Playoff caliber game between these two teams.

Game time is 7 PM.
