Temecula Valley, Linfield Christian, Chaparral, Temescal Canyon & Elsinore Make the Divisional Lists
The CIF Southern Section Divisional Week five football polls have been released and five local High Schools have been ranked in the top ten in their respective Divisions.
Temecula Valley maintained it’s grip on fourth spot in Division 7. The Golden Bears suffered their first loss of the season to San Jacinto two weeks ago and were idle this week. Temecula mended their wounds are healthy for their Southwestern league opener against Great Oak Thursday.
Also in Division 7, Elsinore is ranked seventh for the third week in a row. The Tigers are 4-1 and slipped past LA Division I Banning 44-42 Friday. Elsinore will have their hands full this week as they take on Heritage.
Linfield Christian slipped in the polls and is ranked tenth in Division 11. The Lions are now 4-1 after losing to Division 8 Aliso Niguel 30-22 Friday. Linfield will be in Redlands to lay Arrowhead Christian in their Ambassador league opener.
Chaparral stayed in the number 4 spot in the CIF Southern Section polls in Division 4 . The Pumas have turned the program around and are 5-0 this season.
The Pumas latest victim was Tahquitz who they beat easily 39-6 . Chaparral will open the Southwestern league schedule Thursday against undefeated Murrieta Valley.
Temescal Canyon is holding at number 10 in Division 8. The Titans lost a close one 17-14 to Hillcrest two weeks ago. They will face powerful Rancho Verde, this week.
Heritage stayed locked at number 13 spot in the Division 3 rankings this week. The Patriots beat Santiago 14-7 last week. The Patriots are up against powerhouse Centennial this week.
Great Oak stayed at the 11th spot in Division 4. The Wolfpack is 3-2 after falling 35-7 to San Juan Hills last Friday. Great Oak will face arch rival Temecula Valley in their Southwestern league opener.9.30.2019-11-Man-Poll-Week-5
