The Broncos Lost 41-7 to Mission Viejo Last Week

Vista Murrieta finds itself win-less after two games into the season. The Broncos offense has yet to ignite and Vista Murrieta has only scored 14 points this season, The Broncos scored once against Coquitt County and another 7 against Mission Viejo last week,

Mission Viejo showed everyone why they are ranked sixth in last weeks’ Division 1 Polls. The Broncos had no answer for the Diablos. Mission Viejo scored two touchdowns, the first a 39 yard rushing TD by Jamari Ferrell. The Diablos Joey Yellen completed an 18 yard pass for a touchdown to Austin Osborne for six.

Mission Viejo never looked back. They scored again when Yellen threw a 12 yard pass to Akili Arnold in the second quarter. A missed extra point made it 20-0 at halftime.

Yellen continued to harass the Bronco Secondary. His 30 yard touchdown pass to Christian Lavalle made it 27-0. Ferrell scored his second rushing touchdown of the night after a intercepted Bronco pass. It would get worse, Yellen’s 47 Yd pass completed to Olaijah Griffin for a TD made it 41-0.

The Broncos managed to avoid the shut-out in the fourth quarter. A long pass completion set up running back Khalil Shakir’s 1 yard rushing TD. It was all the offense the Broncos could muster.

It’s not going to get any easier for Vista Murrieta, The Broncos play Orange Lutheran this week. The Lancers were ranked eighth in last week’s CIF Southern Section Division 1 Polls.
