HS Girls Basketball: Great Oak Beats 29 Palms 58-42 & Advances to the Mustang Tip Off Classic Championship Game

Seniors Tiana Shaw and Amanda Constant lead the Wolfpack Past the Wildcats

15281105_10209588522261731_234249603_nThe Great Oak Girls’ Basketball season is off to a fast start as the Wolfpack won their second straight game, defeating 29 Palms 58-42 in the Mustang Tip Off Classic Tournamentl. Great Oak crushed Lake Elsinore 63-15 in their season and tournament opener.15327642_10209588526301832_1074094506_n

Great Oak jumped out to a 14-10 lead in the first period and battled to take a 26-22 lead into the locker room at the half.

The Wolfpack girls exploded for 18 points and held the Wildcats to just 8 in the third period to put the game away and advance to the Tournament Championship game.

15310420_10209588521381709_1672220439_nThe Wolfpack was led by seniors Tiana Shaw and Amanda Constant who both scored 13 points apiece. Senior Ariel Rivera and junior Brooke Padgett added 6 points each while sophomores Ashley Waltz and Victoria Farris  scored 5 apiece. Junior Kevwe Anigbogu had 4 points for the Pack.

Senior captain Tatiyana Mackall led the Wilcats with 16 points. Junior Destiny Dedmon added 14 and junior Lindsay Scamman 11put 11 through the hoop.
