HS Girls Basketball: Great Oak Overwhelms Chaparral 56-21

The Wolfpack Tough in their Southwesrn League Opener

Great Oak opened their 2017 Southwestern League season with a huge 56-21 victory against an over matched Pumas team. The Wolfpack defens was over powering as Chaparral was held to just 21 points. They scores 2 in the firs period, 10 in the second and 6 more in the third. Great Oak would blank the Pumas in the final period.

Great Oak on the other hand no trouble scoring. Led by Kevwe Anibogu’s 14 points and Victoria Farris’ 13, the Wolfpack jumped out to a 32-15 lead in the first period and never lloked back.

Amanda Constant and Tianna Shaw would score 8 points each while Brooke Padgett added 6 more. Delany Nuez scored 4 points, Raven Whitnenr-Patterson 2 and Savannah Potter sunk a free throw.

Zia Rapada led Chaparral with 9 points. Savanna Villanueva added 6, Mikayla Howard 4 and Johnna Tomkins scored two points for the Pumas.

Great Oak is 8-7 and will be home against Mesa Friday. Chaparral is 2-13, 0-1 and will face mighty Vista Murrieta at home.
