HS Girls Basketball: Murrieta Mesa Poised for Second Half of the Southwestern League Schedule

The Rams are Coming off a 62-40 Victory over Temecula Valley

The Second half of the Southwestern league season gets underway tonight, and Murrieta Mesa will take on Chaparral. The Rams are looking to put together the best record in school history this year.

The most games that Murrieta Mesa has one in league completion is five, when they finished with a 5-5 record.

The Rams had a 13-47 record in the Southwestern league over the past six seasons. This, they hope…is the year of the Ram.

Murrieta Mesa is coming off a 62-40 victory over Temecula Valley last week. Freshman Keslyn Henson led the charge with 15 points for the Rams. Seniors Alexus Williams added 11 and Emilee Stallo 8 more.

Another freshman, Kayli Klemp scored 7 points while senior Jasonia Burleson scored 6 and junior Valerie Arias and freshman Jenna Cloer both scored 5.

Emily Gonzalez led the Golden Bears, The sophomore nailed three 3-pointers for 14 points. Freshman Madison Packwood added 7 while Dianna Gerken and Kalani Hooks both scored 6 points. Karly Orozco added 5 more for Temecula Valley.

Tonight, league leading Vista Murrieta plays Temecula Valley, Great Oak takes on Murrieta Valley and the Rams meet Chaparral.
