HS Girls Basketball: Temecula Valley Hosts their First Annual Thanksgiving Shootout Monday

Twelve Local Teams will Tip Off Tomorrow at 11:30

Temecula Valley will host the First Annual Thanksgiving Shootout starting this coming Monday, November 19th. The event promises to be a fun day of competitive basketball.

This single game event will pit twelve talented teams from all over the Inland Empire to play in six games. Every game has been scheduled as a divisional game to help with the CIF Southern Section rankings. Everyone is playing a team in their own CIF division.

The tournament gets under way with a Division 4AA game. Host Temecula Valley, fresh from winning the Hesperia Tournament Championship and sporting a 4-0 record will play Paloma Valley. The Wildcats are 0-3 and ready to turn things around. Game time is at 11:30.

Rancho Christian

Rancho Christian tips off against Palmdale High School at 1:15pm in game two of the Shootout. The Division 5AA Eagles are 1-0 and the Falcons are 2-2.

Game three begins at 3:00 and pits a battle between two Division 2AA teams. Rancho Verde brings it’s unblemished 1-0 record up against the Dolphins of Dana Point.

Elsinore will face Adelanto High School in game four that begins at 4:45pm. This Division 4AA bout has the Tigers and Saints are coming into the match at 0-1.

Murrieta Valley and Beaumont High School meet in game five. This Division 2AA match up has the Nighthawks with a record of 1-2 and the Cougars who began their season Friday night against Desert Hot Springs. Game time 6:30pm.

Murrieta Mesa and Heritage High School play the final game of the day. This CIF Southern Section Division 3AA contest has the 1-1 Rams and the 0-1 Patriots facing off against each other.
