HS Girls Basketball: Vista Murrieta’s 27-5 Fourth Period too much for Murrieta Mesa…Broncos Win 64-46


The Defending Southwestern League Champions Look Unstoppable Again this Year

Senior Gabby Stoll scored a career high 28 points, including a 15 for 6 performance at the charity stripe to lead Visa Murrieta to a 64-46 victory over Murrieta Mesa Tuesday night. She also dominated the boards and grabbed 12 rebounds.

The Broncos trailed 41-37 after 3 periods and Mesa was thinking upset. Vista Murrieta went on to outscore the Rams 27-5 in the fourth period to snatch the victory and remain undefeated in the Southwestern league.

Lexi Mead added 14 points for Vista Murrieta. Maitland Kingsley scored 10, Imari Cooley 6, and Keiara Barton, Nakela Smith, and Natalia Willis scored 2 each for the Broncos.

Deyjanae Williams scored 14 points in the first half and ended up with 21 to lead the Rams.

In other Southwestern League action Megan Ormiston scored 23 points for the Nighthawks as Murrieta Valley defeated Chaparral 58-39. Last year’s  Co-Champion Great Oak crushed Temecula Valley 48-22.
