HS Girls Soccer: Paloma Valley Beats St. Margaret’s 2-0 to Advance to the CIF-SS Division 4 Championship Final Game

Miale Jones & Alyssa Moore Score Goals to Put the Undefeated Wildcats in the Championship Match against Ventura

The undefeated Wildcats beat St. Margaret’s 2-0 on Tuesday to advance to the Championship Finals of the CIF-SS Division 4 Playoffs. Paloma Valley will get a chance to win their first CIF Championship this weekend.

Paloma Valley is now 23-0-3 and ranked number 1 in the final CIF SS Polls, They have won 14 consecutive games and were seeded first in the tournament. The Wildcats    last reached a CIF Southern Section finals in 2015. They  suffered a heartbreaking 2-1 loss to rival Sunbelt league Temescal Canyon in overtime.

Miale Jones kicked in the first Wildcat goal in the 57th minute, with an assist from junior Alyssa Moore. Moore would go on to score the second goal for Paloma Valley in the 75th minute of the game.

The Wildcats Defense has not given up a single goal in the CIF Southern Section Championship Playoffs. They have beaten Paramount (2-0), Palm Desert (3-0), Laguna Beach (2-0) and finally St. Margaret’s (2-0).

The team is focused on Winning and bringing back the school’s first CIF Championship.

The Wildcats will will travel to face Ventura this Saturday. The Cougars are 17-4-3.
