HS Girls Volleyball: Nine Local Teams Make the CIF Southern Section Top Ten Polls this Week, September 17

Nine local High School Girls Volleyball Teams have been ranked in the Top 10 in their respective CIF Southern Section Divisions this week.

In Division 1 and 2, Vista Murrieta dropped from being ranked third to eighth. The Broncos lost to 2 teams in the Durango Fall Classic Tournament on Saturday. Great Oak jumped from eighth to the number 5 spot. The Wolfpack lost to unranked arch Southwestern league rival Monday.

In Division 3, Murrieta Mesa maintains it’s grip on the ninth spot. The Rams are 11-4 and have lost 2 in a row to Vista Murrieta and Great Oak. Elsinore has moved off the 10 ten list.

Paloma Valley climbs to the third spot this week in Division 5. The Wildcats improved three rankings from sixth and are 14-3 and defeated Elsinore before falling to Hemet last week.

Heritage broke into the top 10 in Division 6, taking the tenth spot in the latest polls. The Patriots are 9-5 with victories over Rancho Verde and Temescal Canyon last week.

Linfield Christian is ranked first in Division 7 for the second consecutive week. The Lions are 18-3 and beat Western Christian and Loma Linda Academy while losing to Aquinas last week.

Rancho Christian improved a spot and is ranked the number 2 team in Division 8. The Eagles now have a record of 9-4. Calvary Murrieta emerged as the eighth ranked team in the division. The Warriors are 7-4 and coming off a victories over CMI and Nuview Bridge. Santa Rosa Academy dropped out of the top ten this week.

In Division 9, Nuview Bridge dropped a spot and is now ranked seventh. The Knights are 10-5.
