HS Girls Volleyball: Temecula Valley Sweeps Vista Murrieta to Clinch the League Championship


The Golden Bears are the New Southwestern League Champions

thumbnail_img_7147Temecula Valley swept Vista Murrieta, 25-22, 25-22, 25-19 to become the new Southwestern League Champion Thursday night. The Golden Bears have a perfect 9-0 record and look to end league play as undefeated Champions when they face off with Chaparral next Tuesday.

thumbnail_img_7301Sophomore setter Jordyn Amoy had 40 assists as the Golden Bears rolled past the Broncos. Senior Kali Greathead led Temecula Valley with12 kills and 12 digs. Junior Peyton McBride had 15 digs and 10 kills, while sophomore Jasmine West came up with 15,digs and sophomore Carley Shreenan had 12.thumbnail_img_7178

The Broncos were led by junior Lexi Hadrych who had 14 kills against Temecula Valley. Senior Holly Persson came up with 29 digs and senior Maddie Nunley had 10 of her own.

Temecula Valley is now 23-4 overall and 9-0 in league. Vista Murrieta has a 14-5 record and in second place in the Southwestern league with a 7-2 record. The Broncos will play the Wolfpack at Great Oak Tuesday to close out regular season play.
