Maryn Dempsey Scores 5 Goals and Leads the Nighthawks Over the Rams

Murrieta Valley coasted to it’s fifth straight Southwestern league victory Wednesday night. The Nighthawks are firmly in control of first place after beating Murrieta Mesa 16-3. With the first half of the season over, the Nighthawks look unstoppable.

Overall, they are a very young group and still have a lot of room for growth” said Murrieta Valley Coach Jason Shumway. “We are starting to building up our game experience and team chemistry. I think we will be alright as we head to the final stretch of the season”.

Murrieta Valley jumped out to a 3-1 lead and made it 8-1 at the half. The second half was all Nighthawks as they scored four goals in each period.

Sophomore Maryn Dempsey scored 5 goals to lead the Nighthawk attack. Taylor Hensley and Avery Wood added 3 each and Sophia Sollie put 2 into the net.
