HS Girls Water Polo: Murrieta Valley Cruises Past Great Oak 17-2


Taylor Hensley Scores 7 Goals and Tyanna Shneiderto had 15 Saves Lead the Nighthawks Past Great Oak

Murrieta Valley Cruised to it’s fourth straight Southwestern league victory Friday night as the Nighthawks defeated Great Oak 17-2. The Defending Southwestern league Champions were led by senior Taylor Hensley who scored 7 goals against the Wolfpack.

Murrieta Valley led 6-2 after the first half when thys exploded for 6 goals in the third period. The Nighthawks would put 5 more into net in the final period to take the victory 17-2.

Sophia Sollie scored 3 goals while both Avery Wood and Maryn Dempsey put 2 each into the net for Murrieta Valley. Sila Fedler, Brooke Little and Jenna Sawyer scored 1 goal each.

Freshman Tyanna Shneider was flawless in the net and the Nighthawk goal keeper had 15 saves. Sophie Edsall and Emma Johns scored the two Great Oak goals.

Murrieta Valley will travel to Murrieta Mesa to face the Rams on Wednesday. The Wolfpack will play Temecula Valley.
