HS Softball: Great Oak Falls to Murrieta Valley 2-1…Broncos Clobber Temecula Valley 19-0


The Southwestern League Championship is on the Line in the Final Week of the Season

The Southwestern League Softball Race got very interesting Friday afternoon. Murrieta Valley knocked off league leading Great Oak 2-1 and now the Wolfpack trails Vista Murrieta by a game with only two to play. The Broncos and Wolfpack will face off for the final series next week see who will walk away with Championship/

It was definitely awesome to see our team put it all together and pull out a win” said Murrieta Coach Erin Sutton. Bailey Williams hit a homerun for the Nighthawks and Danielle Gibson scored the other run on Makena Smith’s RBI single.

Brooke Shepard really stepped up and threw her best game of the season” added Coach Sutton. “She held a really good hitting team to only one run. which was amazing. Freshman Bailey Williams hit her first high school home run which was so great. So far this season, we have had a very hard time playing well at all aspects of the game..it was a good win’.



Vista Murrieta got red hot and clobbered Temecula Valley 19-0. Anna Vines, Karissa Onelas, and Jocelyn de la Cruz all hit a home runs for the Broncos. Skyla Turnbull, Abie Nowak, Brie Nowak, and Jenna Martin came in and delivered key RBI hits for Vista Murrieta/

Shealyn Ollison was incredible in the circle. She was almost hittable and threw yet another shut out.

All eyes are focused on this weeks final confrontation for the Southwestern League Championship between the Wolfpack and the Broncos. Who will walk away with this years crown,
