HS Softball: Linfield Christian’s Alex Perez Throws a Perfect Game against Arrowhead Christian


The Cal Berkeley Bound Senior Struck out Nine, While Facing the Minimum Fifteen Batters

Linfield Christian senior pitcher Alex Perez threw a perfect game against Arrowhead Christian in Thursday’s Ambassador League 17-0 five inning run rule victory. The Cal Berkeley bound Perez struck out nine, while facing the minimum fifteen batters. No balls were hit out of the infield.

The Lady Lions fifteen hits included doubles from catcher Payton Howie, fist baseman Ariel Artiga, and Perez. Every Linfield hitter scored at least one run. Linfield scored seven runs in the third inning, sending thirteen hitters to the plate. They also batted around in the fourth inning, scoring five.

Linfield Christian improved to 10-1 on the season, 3-0 in league play. They next face Rialto in a non-league doubleheader on Saturday. League action resumes on Tuesday against Western Christian.
