HS Softball: Murrieta Mesa Ace Autumn Pease Shuts Out Vista Murrieta 3-0


The Rams & Wolfpack are Both 4-0 in the Southwestern League and will Clash for the Showdown for First Place Tuesday

Murrieta Mesa won it’s fourth Southwestern league game Thursday afternoon as Ram Ace Autumn Pease shut out Vista Murrieta 3-0. Murrieta Mesa and Great Oak are tied for first place in the Southwestern League and will face each other Tuesday.

It was Pease’s third shut out in a row. The senior is now 11-5 this season and has thrown 7 shutouts. Pease pitched seven innings. allowed just five hits and struck out 13 on her way to the 3-0 victory.

Murrieta Mesa’s Lacie Ham knocked in the game’s first and what turned out to be the winning run with an RBI single in the first inning. Senior Camille Rivera and junior Jada Cody drove in sophomore Presleigh Pilon and senior Amanda Kubski in the third and sixth innings.

Briza Blanco took the loss for Vista Murrieta. She gave up three runs on four hits over six innings. Blanco struck out six Rams.

In other Southwestern league action, Murreta Valley shut out Chaparral 12-0 and Great Oak cruised to a 6-1 victory over Temecula Valley.
