HS Softball: Murrieta Mesa Crushes Temecula Valley 11-0 as Autumn Pease Throws a Perfect Game

Pease is Picture Perfect in the Circle while Presleigh Pilon Belts 2 Home Runs for the Rams

Murrieta Mesa rolled to a 11-0 victory over Temecula Valley in dramatic fashion Tuesday. Rams Ace Autumn Pease was dominant in the pitchers circle as she pitched a perfect game against the Golden Bears. The Mesa senior was on fire, as she struck out 13 of the 15 batters she faced over 5 innings.

Sophomore Presleigh Pilon led Murrieta Mesa offensive attack. She went 2-for-3 at the plate and hit 2 home runs. Pilon drove in 5 runs for the Rams in the second and third innings.

Murrieta Mesa struck for 7 runs in the second inning thanks to Pilon’s home run. The third inning yielded another 4 for the Rams. Junior Kelci Hill, freshman Kalyn Hill and Pease each doubled and had 32 hits apiece for Murrieta.

Freshmen Sophia Ruiz, Bella Flexen and junior Jada Cody each stole a base for the Rams. Cody also doubled in the victory.

Shanynn Bustamante took the loss for Temecula Valley. She lasted two and two-thirds innings, allowing ten hits and 11 runs, She struck out two and walked.

In other southwestern League action, Vista Murrieta slipped past Murrieta Valley 4-2 yesterday. Meanwhile, Great Oak crushed Chaparral 16-2 in a game that was stopped in the sixth inning.

The Rams are now 13-6 overall and 1-0 in league. The Golden Bears record is 4-4 and o-1 in league. The two teams will face each other again Thursday.
