Both Games were Stopped by the CIF Mercy Rule after 4 Innings
Murrieta Mesa remained red hot as they rolled to their third straight victory in the Dave Kops Tournament Of Champions at Mohave High School. All three of the Rams wins were stopped after just four innings due to the CIF’s mercy rule. The Rams are now 6-2 for the season.
Autumn Pease started on the mound and ended up with the win for Murrieta Mesa against West, a team from Utah. The senior and ace of the staff threw 3 innings of perfect no hit ball. She struck out 5 before being relieved by freshman Lacie Ham. Ham struck out 2 and gave up a hit in her inning of work.
Sophomore Presleigh Pilon hit a home run and drove in 2 runs for the Rams. Junior Kelci Hill had two hits and a RBI and seniors Camille Rivera, Breena Anderson, Pease and freshman Maisyn Cadena each drove in a run. The Game ended 11-0.
Autumn Pease won her fifth game of the season in Murrieta’s 15-2 victory over Roosevelt. Pease gave up 1 run on 4 hits while striking out 5 over 4 innings in the 15-2 victory.
Presleigh Pilon was all the offense the Rams needed in game two. The sophomore hit 2 more home runs and drove in six for the Rams. She was a perfect 3 for 3 at the plate. Senior Breena Anderson and Pease also hit home runs and drove in 3 runners each. Freshman Kalyn Hill had 2 RBIs and sister Kelci one for the Rams.
Play in the Dave Kops Tournament Of Champions continues today. Murrieta Mesa will face off against Mater Dei at 1:30pm.
