HS Softball: Murrieta Mesa’s Autumn Pease Selected CIF SS Division 3 Player of the Year

The Rams Antonio Romero Named Coach of the Year and Other Local Girls are Recognized

Murrieta Mesa’s Autumn Pease has been selected as the CIF Southern Section Division 3 Player of the Year. The Rams’ Ace won 22 games and led her team to the Division 3 Championship over Hart High School from Newhall.

The junior fireballer led the Southwestern League with 257 strikeouts and a minuscule 1.26 ERA. She also threw a no-hitter this year.

Murrieta Mesa ‘s Antonio Romero was named Coach of the Year. His Rams finished 24-10 overall and won the Division 3 Championship. The Rams finished third in the Southwestern League with a 5-5 record.

Sara Lillie, the talented catcher for Vista Murrieta was named to the CIF SS Division 1 team. The senior backstop led the Broncos to the Southwestern League Championship.

Haley Cassidy from Temescal Canyon batted .435 with 10 home runs to make CIF SS Division 3 honors, Lauren Randel a freshman from Murrieta Mesa was also selected in Division 3. She batted .481 and hit 4 homers.

Ciara Jensen of Santa Rosa Academy was named to the Division VII team. The freshman hit .472 with 25 RBIs for the Rangers.
