HS Softball: Santa Rosa Academy Powers Past Hamilton 10-0 in their CIF SS Division VII Playoff Opener


The Rangers Get Home Runs from Cassidy Penrod and Destiny Granados as Kelci Hill Shuts Out the Bobcats

13230294_10207989199881404_769731947985067876_nSanta Rosa Academy dominated in their first ever CIF Southern Section Playoff game. The Rangers started five freshmen in the 10-0 rout over Hamilton and Santa Rosa’s Softball future looks really rosy.


Kelci Hill was almost perfect in the circle Friday. She struck out 10 and only gave up 2 hits, walking none as she shut out the Bobcats. The freshman pitcher also went 3-for-4 at the plate with a triple and double scored and plated 4.

13265897_10207989197001332_4245178444218681737_nFreshmen Cassidy Penrod and Destiny Granados both hit home runs and drove in 2 runs apiece for the Rangers. Senior Larissa Fox collected 3 hits, scored twice and knocked in a run in the game that was stopped after 5 innings. Freshman Haley McRavin scored twice and drove in a run.

Santa Rosa will play Noli Indian on Tuesday in round 2 of the 2016 CIF Southern Section Division VII Championship Playoffs. The Braves are coming off a 17-8  victory over Crossroads Christian of Corona.
