HS Tennis: Murrieta Valley Crushes Redlands 16-2

The Nighthawks Take a Break from Southwest League Action and Beat the Terriers

Murrieta Valley traveled to Redlands Wednesday afternoon to face a non-Southwestern League opponent to prepare for the upcoming CIF SS Playoff. The Nighthawks easily beat the Terriers 16-2 to improve to 17-2. Murrieta Valley remains tied with Temecula Valley for first place the league with one game left to play.

“The tough Southwestern League competition combined with the girls work ethic is resulting in noticeable improvement for each member of our team: said MVHS Head Coach Trent Warren. “We are fortunate be in a league with such quality players and teams that make us better as the season rolls along.”

The Nighthawks got the Singles Sweep from Jovana Kuljanin 6-2, 6-0, 6-0  and Alana Andrews 6-0, 6-0, 6-0. In Doubles Murrieta’s Audra Gorria and Elise Seyarto won 6-1, 6-0, 6-2. Redlands suffered only their third loss of the season and are 15-3.
