HS Tennis: Murrieta Valley Extracts Revenge, Defeats Temecula Valley 14-4


The Nighthawks are Tied for First Place in the Southwestern League with the Golden Bears  

Murrieta Valley was focused and showed up ready to play Friday afternoon as the Nighthawks crushed Temecula Valley 14-4. The victory was especially satisfying for Murrieta Valley as they came back from losing to the Golden Bears in the previous week. It was the Nighthawk’s first loss in a Southwestern league game in 7-years.12108185_547718048708819_6941933283704511026_n

Jovana Kuljanin, won all 3 of her matches 6-2, 6-0, 6-0 and Faith Pearson took care of her singles opponent 6-2, 6-0, 6-1. The Nighthawks Doubles team of Kelsey Lajom and Ashley Nishimoto also won 6-4, 6-4, 6-1.

The Nighthawks were determined to rebound and recapture a piece of the top spot in the Southwestern league standings. The Golden Bears are now 7-1 and will face Great Oak Tuesday. Murrieta Valley will be at Chaparral to play the Pumas. There are 3-league matches left in the regular season for both teams.
