HS Tennis: Temecula Valley Beats Chaparral, Vista Murrieta & Murrieta Valley Victorious


The Golden Bears in First Place of the Southwestern League 

12088529_547718372042120_8379038781228984586_nFor the first time in seven years there is a new team on top of the Southwestern League Girls Tennis Standings. The question is, can they stay there.

The Golden Bears beat Murrieta Valley last week and broke the Nighthawk’s 7-year league winning streak and claimed top spot in the Southwestern.

12108157_547718522042105_6168642947668609255_nTemecula Valley  continued to dominate Tuesday as they beat Chaparral 14-4 and improved to 6-0 in league play.  Lindsey Gelinas and Hope Salts swept the singles while teams of Larissa Lamont, Kayla Gelinas  and  Nicole Colica, Delany Jones took the doubles. Chaparral is winless in league play so far this season.

Jovana Kuljanin and Faith Pearson were near perfect as they won the singles sweeps. The Rams Hayley Siegfied and Scarlett Steele won their doubles Match. Murrieta Mesa is now 1-5. The Nighthawks and Golden Bears meet again this Friday.

Vista Murrieta defeated Great Oak 11-7 to improve to 4-2.  The Wolfpack is 2-4.
