The Red Hot Eagles are 10-1 and in Firm Control of the South Valley League
Rancho Christian remained red hot as they cruised to an 25-6 25-7 25-2 thrashing of South Valley League opponent Temecula Prep on Tuesday. The Eagles were led by the trio of Emily Vaniman, Emma Baker and Amirah Ali.
Sophomore Vaniman had 8 kills on 10 attempts against the Patriots for an impressive 800 percentage. She also had 3 solo blocks. Baker, a senior had 5 kills, 7 aces and 9 digs. Freshman Ali was good for another 6 kills for the Eagles.
“These girls did a great job staying focused on their individual job duties for the match” said Head Coach Rochelle Short. “Taking care of the ball on our side was our match focus and they executed it flawlessly.”
The Eagles set their sites on beating their next victims tomorrow. Rancho has a home league match against California Military Institute on Thursday, September 14. The Roughriders have a record of 0-2-1 so far this season.
Temecula Prep will face off against Escondido Adventist Academy tomorrow. The Hawks are 8-0.
