The Eagles Beat the Rough Riders Easily for 2nd South Valley League victory

Rancho Christian rolled to it’s second consecutive South Valley League victory last Thursday afternoon. The Eagles poured on the power in a 25-9,25-9, 25-15 victory over an outmatched California Military Institute team.

Emma Baker led the Eagles as they swept the Rough Riders. The senior has emerged as one of the leaders as the Eagles improved their season record to 11-1. “Emma had an awesome match with 15 kills and was a match leader” said Rancho Christian Coach Rochelle Short. “She also notched 7 digs and an ace”.

Freshman Amirah Ali also had 7 kills for the Eagles. Emily Vaniman contributed another 6 kills. The sophomore also had 3 blocks. Senior Savannah Page added 5 kills and 3 blocks.

Sophomore Izzy Lopez had 5 digs, while freshman Brooklynn Thomas had 4 more. Sophomore Olivia Trevithick had 20 assists and freshman Bella Lopiccolo would come up with 11 more.

Rancho Christian next faces Santa Rosa Academy on Tuesday. The Rangers have a 10-2-1 record. This will be the Rangers first league game.
