HS Volleyball: Temecula Valley Dominant in Three Set Sweep of Orange Lutheran

The Golden Bears Quickly Defeat Mighty Orange Lutheran 25-13, 25-18, 25-13 as Jordyn Amoy Shines

Rafu Rodriquez, the Coach of the undefeated Golden Bears named Jordyn Amoy as the player of the game in Tuesday’s stunning 3 set defeat of Orange Lutheran. Temecula Valley wasted no time taking care of the Lancers, who fell in 3 sets 25-13, 25-18, 25-13.

Amoy, a sophomore, had 26 assists for the Golden Bears as she skillfully set up the Temecula attack. Peyton Mcbride was the offensive leader with 12 kills. Madison Endsley was next with 11 and Carly Shreenan had 7 more,

Makenzie Nutting was a force at the net and had 6 big blocks for Temecula Valley. Jasmine West came up with a team leading 16 digs for the Golden Bears.

“Great teamwork tonight by our girls. We looked really calm and experienced When Orange Lutheran put pressure on us: said Coach Rodriquez. “Even though it was not our best passing game, we were able to dominate with a very organized block and defense game. Jasmine West was key with 16 digs and Makenzie Nutting had 6 blocks. We also had 10 aces by the team. We will keep working on getting better every day”.

Temecula Valley begins Southwestern League play today. The Golden Bears travel to Murrieta Mesa to tackle the Rams. Mesa has fielded a tough team this year and have a 8-1 record so far this season.
