HS Volleyball: Temecula Valley Sweeps Bishop to Advance to the CIF State Division 1 Regional Finals

Division 3 Paloma Valley Falls to Ontario Christian in 3 Sets 25-18,25-20,25-21  

Temecula Valley swept Bishop High School in 3 sets, as the Golden Bears coasted to a 25-12, 25-18, 25-14 victory in the CIF State Championship Regional Semifinal game Saturday night.

Temecula will advance to the Regional Finals which will be played on Tuesday, November 13th.



The Golden Bears were led by senior Carly Shreenan who had 12 kills against the Knights. Junior Hailey Hinkel and freshman Emma Rhodes each added 9 kills in last night’s victory.

Senior Mackenzie Nutting came up with 4 huge blocks for Temecula Valley on defense. Senior setter Jordyn Amoy orchestrated the offensive attack and would have 37 assists. Senior Jasmine West led the Bears with 14 digs.



Temecula Valley advances to face Football in the CIF State Division 1 Regional Final Game. Foothill has a record of 24-4 and were the Crestview league’s undefeated Champions. Like the Golden Bears, they made it to round 2 of the Southern Section playoffs. The Knights swept La Costa Canyon 25-9, 29-27, 25-23 in last night’s match.

In other CIF State Championship Regional Semifinal action, Paloma Valley fell to Ontario Christian in Division 3. The Wildcats suffered their second loss of the season to the Knights last night in straight sets 25-18, 25-20, 25-21.

Ontario Christian defeated Paloma Valley in the CIF Southern Section Division 5 Championship game last week. The Wildcats finished the season with a record of 28-8.
