HS Volleyball: The Temecula Valley is Turning into a Hotbed for Powerful Volleyball Teams

Nine Local Teams Ranked as Top Teams in the Latest CIF Southern Section Polls

The Temecula Valley is turning out some impressive Girl’s Volleyball talent this year. The area has turned out three teams ranked first in the latest CIF Southern Section Divisional Polls. Also,in Division I, there are three teams ranked in the top 16, a fifth in Division 5 and 2 teams in Division 9 made the list.

Rancho Christian is loaded with talent and continues to dominate Division 7 and is ranked Number One. The Eagles are 16-7 this season and are coming off a victory over Orangewood Academy.

Rancho will face Temecula Prep on Thursday.

Cornerstone Christian remains the most feared team in Division 9. The Number One ranked Crusaders are 1i-1 after defeating Calvary Baptist in straight sets. Cornerstone is home to battle Packinghouse Christian Academy this week.

Linfield Christian is ranked first in Division 6. Ranked in the fifth spot last week, the Lions are now 15-3overall and 7-2 in league. The Lions jumped to the top spot after beating Desert Christian Academy

yesterday. They are home to face Arrowhead Christian Thursday.

In Division 1-2, three Southwestern league teams are ranked. Vista Murrieta is on top and ranked 8th. The Broncos are 11-7 overall and 5-1 in league. They face off against Southwestern opponent Chaparral, ranked 16th in the Division today. The Pumas are 24-5 overall and 4-1 in league.

Temecula Valley is ranked 13th and are 14-6 overall and playing exceptional volleyball. The Golden Bears continue with Southwestern league play and will face a tough Murrieta Valley team Thursday.

In Division 3, Paloma Valley comes in ranked fifth in the CIF Southern Section Polls. . The Wildcats were the Sunbelt league co-champions last year and have an impressive 19-3record this season. Paloma Valley will be home to face Ivy league rival Riverside Poly today.

In Division 9, two other local teams are excelling. Temecula Prep comes in at the number 5 spot. The Patriots are 18-10 and are coming off a three set victory over San Jacinto Valley Academy. Sherman Indian.

Nuview Bridge is ranked 13th in the Division. The Knights are 7-12 overall and 3-3 in league. They will play Santa Rosa Academy next.
