HS Water Polo: 2017 All Southwestern League Boys Water Polo Team Selected


Murrieta Valley’s Colin Winter Named Most Valuable Player

The 2017 All Southwestern League Boys Water Polo Team selected and Murrieta Valley’s Colin Winter Named Most Valuable Player. Winter, a junior and the Nighthawks goal keeper led his team to their 18th consecutive Southwestern League Title.

Joining Winter on the All-First Team are Nighthawk teammates Carson Paiva, a senior and juniors Nick Rogers and Garrett Ritter.Matthew Filo VMHS 10

The other First team selections were:Landon Evans, a senior and junior Cameron Bentley from Vista Murrieta. Seth Ramirez, a senior from Murrieta Mesa, senior Tanner Sprague from Chaparral and senior Nate Taylor from Temecula Valley.

The All-Southwestern League Second Team consistsof Murriea Valleys Will Barnes (12), Shain Sargis (11), Vista Murrieta’s Tim Pourkazemi (10). Ethan Evarts (10), Ben Patton (12). Murrieta Mesa’s Bryson Ferreyra (12) Chaparral’s Ethan Villalta (12) , Temecula Valley’s Lukas Reza (11) and Great Oaks Kenny Wulf were also selected gor Second Team Honors.
